Hi fellas, a CBRS in action, i originally ran it on kerosene, it ran rich and not good, I decided to try it on shellite, now it run like sun in a jar.

 

A unique lantern, have never seen one in the flesh.

 

Are you going to tart that one up a bit, Darryl?

One question: Does it have any remnants of a transfer (decal) on it?

Edit: Another question. Do you think the two screws in the top plate of the hood (vent) are original or aftermarket additions?

That’s an interesting one. Would it have had a collar originally?

 

@Tony Press , all the hoods I have the two screws the hold the top hat together. I have only on lantern that has any reminance of a decal.
I’ve not seen one with a collar @Scott D but I have an advertisement from maybe the 30’s
This advertisement shows a dome like collar, but it may have been an exported lantern

I’ve never seen that collar either, except in ads in Pacific Islands Monthly.
