Hello Picked this up at the car boot sale to heat the shed, but the white plastic cup that fits under the fual tank is missing and they want £15 for a new one which seems a tad expensive for a plastic cup. Has any one any experiance of these heaters and perhaps knows away around this? To be honest its cheaper just to buy another heater than spend on this one as I still dont know if it will work once the cups fitted
Winchman, What you are missing is the Fuel Acceptance Fitting (a picture of one from a different heater is below). This performs a few very important tasks; it centers the portable tank & cap into the fixed tank inside the heater, compresses the spring loaded outlet to let fuel flow, filters the incoming kero (some fittings), and most importantly, sets the correct level of the fuel inside the fixed tank. I guess it's up to you if it's worth it. My guess is the cost of a new wick for this heater will be more than the fitting. Radiant heaters like this do work well and put out about 10K BTUs. Dan
