Dating a lantern (give it a place on a time line)

Dear collectors all over the world,
At this moment there are some discussions about date codes stamped or scratched on lamps.
To get a good overview what is correct or not I want to ask everybody to take some time and write here the numbers found on their lamp including a photograph of the item.

To make it a little better to handle I would suggest we start with lamps made by Hipolito S.A.R.L. Portugal.
At this moment restricted to the brands: Hipolito, Geniol and Camel.
No discussions about the codes, I think we should first collect the information and then see if we can crack the code. @Reinhard already made a good start but we need more codes to validate and check.

Off coarse other brands will follow so you all may already check those too.

ps Also lamps with no code are important.

Hello all,
that's a really interesting topic to solve one of the collector's miracles.
I've currently made an Excel List which already contains some lanterns. I'd also like include the brands AIDA, PETROMAX, Lanterne and FAMA, but only apart the manufacturing date from the 1970's.
If the interpretation of the 4-digit date code according to the Graetz-Altena scheme "wwyd" where:
ww = week of the year (01-52),
y = year of manufacture beginning from 1960 (1=1961...9=1969), and
d = day of the week (1=Monday...5=Friday)
would not make sense, then it would be of interest for us.

@Wim , could you please make/post some Photos of that lantern? It is so far the first one that does not fit the scheme Reinhard has established for the portugese Lanterns, nor the scheme from Graetz Altena.

I have a good few of these from 150's to 500's. Only problem is to dig them out. Building at the minute so between that and work time is extremely limited. I'll try and get them included over the next few weeks.

 

Funny thing... I have a couple of Aida 1250 lanterns, NOS from the MD Dutch civil defense and the only markings they have on the bottom is "MD-41", no stamping, not scratching....nothing.

Hello collectors,
I can easily read all 4-digit numbers of the pressure lamps manufactured in Torres Vedras Portugal from 1974 to 1999.
I noticed that in 1989 and 1991 the numbers were stamped differently.
However, it does not prevent me from reading out of the year of manufacture and the week in a matter of seconds without any problems. My problem is that I cannot prove it clearly.
