A dismal rainy day and was going through some of my camping photos from the the Turon River near Sofala.

Listening to Radio New Zealand on a Sony ICF SW11 powered by a Lufo thermocouple lantern. Coleman 249 Scout in attendance.

Modified the Lufo so its power output could run other devices such as the Sony radio.

This is a really pleasant camping area and was the first tryout of the Lufo thermocouple lantern with the Sony shortwave radio.

Both worked excellently and now will be a regular feature of my campsites. Light and entertainment all at the same time.

Looks like a very fine way to spend some time away from the crowds :)
