Has anyone had a lamp with a personalised messaged engraved on the bottom? I was thinking of making something as a gift and a personal message on the bottom would be nice. Of course it will probably weaken it, so another thought would be a stick on plaque. That would be then easier to rip away before flogging the lamp on ebay. Any thoughts or advice? Even better someone with pics of something similar
Engraved plaque should do it. The wording should be: "To my dear friend Phil. Remember me when you light this lamp. I'll send you more soon. -Mark"
I have doubts about the correct text as Phil suggest but a plaque on the collar would be nice ! Why the collar ? well then you don't HIDE the message. And every time on a party someone gets fuel on the clothes while turning it upside to read the plaque. Then the text would be: "If you can read this text, your clothes will stink."
