Being a hardy-soul, the young-un here loves to be out in the rain and cold, as long as he's well wrapped up. With sub zero temperatures and rain he persuaded me to walk down to the beach one night a couple of weeks ago, so I took the Optimus 200P. I really like this lantern because it's small and light, works well and is user friendly with both fuel and pressure gauges (and looks nice too). All of the ships lights have gone after reducing the size of the 1st photo so much, but you can still see the lighthouse which is on the end of a pier around 2km long if I remember right. It takes 20minutes fast walking to get to the end and is a good fishing venue. Don't fish so much these days but I've caught some good ones there over the years. Beach is pretty long too, it stretches over to the lights you can see in the back-ground.
Somewhere on the North-East coast, likely, but then every port around here has a pair of piers - pick any one from around a dozen or so... Mind you, the dunes narrow it down a bit - probably not Tynemouth, Sunderland or Seaham...
