Hello everyone Does anyone know the model 51 L ? Is there any literary evidence of its existence ? It is obviously a Hasag 51 with the preheating device of the subsequent Hasag 351 L .
Today I was able to take the Hasag 51 L into operation. The Identität is clarified thanks to @Alan Moore 's post in the library. I see this Hasag 51 L as a link between Hasag 51 and Hasag 351 L because of the preheating cup with liftablesieve used for the first time.
Here's a catalogue picture from 1936 showing the models 51L and 71L: The picture does not match 100% with the example presented here by Reinhard, but the model 51L seems to have been existent for quite a while. The version I have posted here was obviously originally a 51L that was modified by Eugen Schatz, Switzerland with a different kind of Ditmar-like preheater. The label was changed to 151E by Schatz.
Hello @Reinhard , the 71 / 71A or 71L are the 500 HK types, whereas the 51 / 51A or 51L are rated 300 HK. I own a 71A, which has no difference to the 51A except the batch, because somebody might have replaced the jet and needle.
This is really very interesting. The drawing shows serious differences. The heat shield of the 500 HK lamp is particularly striking.
