Hello guys, not to be with the "hands in hands" I found at the flea market on Sunday that this lamp Hasag probably produced around 40 years! What do you think? I think it's a Hasag n. 42 produced under license in Italy by PROVIDUS (factory lamps Italian). Am I right or wrong? Any help is welcome confirmation or denial.
Hi Onafest, this is surely a HASAG 42 / 142 / 242 from the pre-war period. The hood / inner hood as well as the top nut seem to be the "old style". Also the soldered label on the tank reminds me of the pre-war designs and the handle is secured by the bajonet nuts. The meths cup maybe points to a late design of that period. However I bet that the filler cap with air release screw are from a Petromax 826 or the like. If there are no cracks in the fount this lantern should restore well enough ! I've got a very similar lantern in my collection. BR, Martin
