Hi All! Well i had a bit of hard time at work tonight and was a bit cranky as i got home late too! So i decided to fire up all of my lamps. I tell you what the hiss,warmth and glow does calm you down, its peaceful to look at, Here are some pictures As you can see they are all working well, Picture shows off from the left, Bialaddin no305,Tilley 246,Tilley 246A and Tilley 246B. Hello Adam, yes that works! I use a TL10 in the house and it has had a lot of use this week, the power has gone off 3 times so far and it went off last night for over 12 hours. So I read a book by the bonny white light of my Tilley and I also enjoyed the heat. Hellish weather here just now, Jeff.
Hi Guys I agree having a lamp running with its gentle hiss is very relaxing while ive been pulling the dents out of a Tilley long necked un fluted table lamp while finishing off my second tilley stove ,iv'e just done a post on the CCS site here are some pics Can't afford a proper CS56 so i had to make my own pair Well the kettles on for tea anyone fancy a brew I'll try & do a post about dent pulling as i have a Guardsman that has a big shunt in it & i will give it a go to see if can get as much out as possible Best regards Stu .

Hey Adam I think you hit the nail right on the head as to why (at least one of the reasons) we are in this hobby. I too spend many nights in the garage with a lantern, lamp and or stove going just to keep myself from going bonkers. It truely is a great wat to relax and just slow down life. I really like your collection and wish the cost to get things over to this side of the pond was not so high. Although shipping costs do keep me from buying a lot more stoves and lanterns Dave

Its nice to see that something simple gives such pleasure when things dont go your way, I love the conversion of the tilley lamps that have been turned into stoves, Thats a brilliant idea!!. Jeff I would like to have a Table lamp for my next Tilley product, Or a PL53? Lighthouse i have found Primus etc are expensive over here too, Dave, You never know one lamp may turn up at a yard sale? Hello Adam, in my opinion, the best Tilley table lamps date from the late 1920's to about 1938,(TL10) the TL10s from WW2., are not so good. The same appplies to PL53s, Jeff.
