    Is the lamp on the left a Primus? Just bought these lamps from afar, not yet at chez Stevie.

    As Neil said. Most likely to be a 1051 as they seem to be more common. It will most likely be from 1930 as well. This was the year the model was introduced and that year seems to be more common for this variation as well. It will be interesting to see if my predictions work out. :) It has what looks to be the original glass. This size glass is becoming a bit scarce, so look after it.

    @Mackburner Thanks Neil.
    @Nils Stephenson The guy that picked the lamps up for tells me the glass is cracked, oh well.
    @Matthew92 Yes, of course! The rare old Tilley was what I was after! The haul included a not bad 300x too... The only problem is that there’s three hundred and fifty miles between the lamps and me at the moment. By the by, a gumtree find.

    That Tilley is very rare, not often you find them with both the pump knob and handle missing. :lol::lol:

    Good find though, Gumtree has never turned anything up for me, well apart from an SDR I saw when I first started collecting. Didn't buy it though did I.](*,)

    @Matthew92 Haha! My Tilley ML came from a guy who was advertising a box of spare parts on gumtree, when I got there he asked me if I’d be interested in an old lamp. Both my TL lamps came from gumtree too. I bought a very clean X246B with a new vapouriser in a box, a pile of mantles and some other odds and sods, gumtree too.
    So, it’s been kind to me, but I did put the miles in!

    It must have lived in a salty environment by the looks of the rust. Should be fixable though. Looks like the glass should be good for display purposes anyway with the original logo. I'm looking forward to following the progress on it.

    Just noticed it says 1050, so I got that one wrong. I'm still banking on 1930 though.

    @Nils Stephenson I’m itching to get my hands on it. I’m not going to risk having it couriered, so will wait until a friend or myself can bring it north. Meanwhile it’s safe with a friend.
    Generally I like to keep lamps as original as possible. Given the fairly poor looking condition, I’ll go deeper with this one as sonmuch of its originality has decayed.
    It’ll be new territory for me, so will need plenty of guidance when the time comes!
