Is this a typical Petromax 826?

    Have you seen a Petromax 826 like this before? I don't think I have, so if any of you could share something about the age of the lamp or anything else of interest, I'd appreciate it.

    Looks normal to me besides the obvious not normal things like the knobs.

    Thanks. Yes, I was basically looking for any information based on distinctive features such as the knobs. Based on my limited forum reading, all I can determine so far is that it must have been produced prior to 1953 (10-pointed star, E within G).

    Main knob looks from a kitchen gas stove/range.
    The pump knob origin is unknown to me but not original either.

    In my opinion, a previous owner has kept that lantern going with whatever they had lying around and I rather like that aspect of it.:thumbup::thumbup:

    @Jaska IMHO this is a pre-WWII lamp. There is manufacturing date (mm yy) scarped on the bottom, somewhere closer to the rim. Clean it delicately and look carefully. Check other old (WWII and older) Petromax lamp posts in the Gallery to know what to look for.
