Once a Marine always a Marine and now fighting in another direction towards the Capital, Frankfort. I've gotten an initiative to the State Senate that would recognize ALL Disabled Veterans and Law Enforcement under the Homestead Exemption for an incremental allowance based on their disability rating. If you know a Kentuckian please ask them to support SB95 by calling the Legislative Message Line 1-800-372-7181 then vote and share the following link because my heart just can't take much more appathy: https://www.change.org/p/kentucky-state-senate-support-partially-disabled-vets-and-law-enforcement

Whats frustrating is that we've become a society that clicks "like" and scrolls along thinking that we've just done something important.

I can't begin to count the number of emails that I've written to people and groups that have a vested interest in this proposition for their constituents without even a reply. DAV(Disabled American Veterans), VVA(Vietnam Veterans Association), VA(Veterans Administration), VFW(Veterans of Foreign Wars), American Legion, FOP(Fraternal Order of Police), Department of Fish and Wildlife(Game Wardens)...

I find their lack of faith disturbing...

Apathy is the tool of government. Another is to create groups that are on the face of it lauding a good cause, but underneath work the opposite way. I won't say any of the above organisations are amongst them, but it's a trick well known to create hope, only to be dashed when it fails (intended).

Keep your 'thorn' sharp - and push it deep.
Belief and focus are all important.

I found last night that my letter writing campaign has also spurred Kentucky HB-372 to provide 100% discount on property tax to 100% service connected disabled military veterans.
