Lamp hanging indoors

I was at a cabin last night were there is no electricity. Lucky for me I had 3 lanterns to help me in the dark. One thing that was a nice touch, was the hook on the beams in the larger room, it no only had a hook, but also some sheet metal to help protecting from the heat of the lanterns

 

Yes, that would help and this link shows what used to be available for that purpose.

It would be good if all cabins had a hook and heat shield.
