Just acquired this pump from a car boot sale. The guy didn't know what is was.Its about 12" (300mm) long and unmarked. Any ideas to origin? thank's Al
Do not know, but I always look for them, and my luck is that I usually see old garden syringes! I expect that Neil (Macburner) will know. Have you looked at his post in the Gallery on lamp pumps. He has a good collection. Best regards Steve.
Can it be for an AGM? Look at from Neil. No. 8 looks like yours, but perhaps No. 12 and possibly No. 13 could be candidates too?
Quite a few companies used a pump like this. Not Coleman but AGM and Nulite for sure and both were sold in the UK and some of the other makes too. PW did use these but are less likely to be found in the UK as Preway never exported to here. The damn things are never marked which is a pity. They are a rare find in the UK but they should be here because Stanleys sold AGM product that used them and Falks sold Nova brand which also used a similar pump. There should also be Evening Star/Kildark pumps around. In 30 years of hunting boot sales I have never found any and only found two on a stall at a Steam Rally. Your pump is probably Nulite from a Storm King or Nova lamp. Nice find. ::Neil::
