    Repair :

Solder the pump shaft thread for the pump bottom valve.

    Moin
When I bought a Mewa high-power lamp, I have a defect in the soldered-in threaded bushing for the pump bottom valve. When unscrewing the pump bottom valve, the bush came loose.
So I had to re-solder the part Since the valve had to come out and the seat came loose when it was released with a simple screwdriver and without the use of force, the whole thing only annoyed me a little.

Getting the whole thing done without destroying the paint and without soldering the pump shaft was new territory for me, but, I was lucky.
My solution to re-solder the threaded bushing into the pump shaft without dismantling the shaft worked!

I cleaned the seat in the bottom of the shaft properly and of course the threaded bushing too.
Then a fancy snail is wound from solder to position the solder in the right place.

In order to bring in the temperature only at the necessary point, I made a massive mandrel that fit exactly with the sealing surface of the pump valve. I positioned the threaded bushing including the plumbing screw properly in the shaft and then heated the steel mandrel properly using a gas burner.
After I inserted the mandrel into the socket, I was able to observe after about 10 seconds how the mandrel lowered about 2mm, a sign that the solder had become liquid.
After another 10 seconds I removed the mandrel and let the solder joint cool down.
The valve could then be inserted and tightened very cleanly and sensibly.
The function and pressure test with the pump bottom valve, which has now been repaired (new rubber seal), showed perfect tightness.

So that should be done for now
