Hi all. I have in my collection a Coleman Northstar which had a bad fault in that when it had been running for awhile the generator tube started to bend which eventually fractured the joint just below the jet nipple joint allowing gas to escape, and being a gasoline lantern this was not good. I have modified the generator by sliding a three inch length of brass tubing over the generator which is a good snug fit and silver soldered this in place, and now the lamp runs for hours with no more problems at all. Here are a couple of snaps of the modified tube.
