my halifax

    my new 1944 halifax,i love it,i have wanted one for ages and swapped this on a paraffin stove,here lit by the campfire.

    Beautiful Vapalux you've got there. I wonder why there aren't any old Tilleys, Vapaluxes or any other such lanterns from England or the UK to be found here in Malaysia.

    Being a military collector I bought one of those wartime vapalux from a UK vendor but the lantern was returned to the sender by the UK customs people. Customs opened it up and pronounced it as dangerous goods or something. The seller had carefully cleaned the fount inside . The seller told me he had never had a lantern returned before . :evil:
