    Hi everyone.

I picked up this KL-80 when I was back home in Newfoundland in November 2015. I know it's missing some parts, specifically the globe and upper heat shield.

Can someone please tell me which globe it needs? Is it the onion-shaped one or the teardrop shaped one?
And which heat shield is correct for it? The leaf one or the other one?

    Thanks.

    Shane

Both the tear drop and the onion globe (No. 182) will fit that gallery - so can be used on the KL 80, but see the extracts from Jim Dick's excellent book "Tilley: the versatile vapour lamp":

The images also show the heat reflector.

Hello Shane, your example is the one which Tilley named the Victor and the link below shows the relevant catalogue, but the library is only open to subscribers.

A Humphrey gas globe will fit into a Tilley gallery and those globes are still made in the USA..

There are some reproduction vitreous enamel reflectors for the KL80 on eBay for a reasonable price at the moment. I bought one for mine, and was happy with the fit and quality.

The correct 284 Globe as per the Tilley General Catalogue is available there too, but I could not justify the price and felt I should keep the lamp as found with its 182 Globe.

Thanks everyone for the help. I'm hoping to buy the parts in the next few weeks and have it up and running by the springtime.

I've got a UK tripped planned soon so maybe I should just buy the parts while I'm there to save shipping costs.
