I have a Tilley R1 heater that I bought for very little money, about 6 years ago.
I want to restore it to working condition.
I will need a new generator, the long one. (7" long version?)
I would also like to replace all the seals/gaskets, and the pump leather.
It doesn't have the preheater wick and I'd like to get one of those as well.
It has the metal mantle. Is there a replacement mantle I can get for it for future needs?
I live in the USA. I suppose if I lived in the UK, parts would be a LOT easier to get.

    Thanks.

I really like the R1 and would like to use it in my metal shop during cold weather (with proper ventilation, of course) and I'd like to use it when camping/fishing/etc.

Any info and advice on the Tilley kerosene heaters is greatly appreciated.

The vapouriser you need is the 169 - as you say 7" long - easily sourced from eBay UK, Base-Camp or just about any of the Brits on here. Ross (Spiritburner) does a nifty line in replacement seals made from Viton - try a PT to him or eBay UK again where he lists them. The metal mantles are fine and easy to come by from Base-Camp for about £10 although, again, some of the Brits will be able to help...

Thanks. I figured the Brits on here would know where to get parts for it. It's a Tilley, so it would be a shame to just use it for decoration.
