Great find! Very good lantern, too. I guess I got lucky, I found mine on fleabay several years ago! mine came with the shade, too but I just don't have the heart to light it so it's in the box NOS!
THe lady that I got it from had bougth it at an auction. This is the second allmost NOS 305 that I find in Sweden over 12 months, both are 1954. Not sure how they ended up here, but any guess is as good as mine, might just have been some surplus floating around, might be that the Swedish army bought some as samples or maby came with the Centurion tanks (that aslo had the Brithish Mk II stoves in them )
Through Tradera I found quite some classic british items in the past, like documentation on Norton, Rudge, Triumph and Webley. It seems to me Sweden was at one point much orientated on Britain, perhaps from when there still was right hand drive?
