Has anyone ever replaced the wire off the seat of a cleaning needle. Shown here is an attempt at doing it. I pulled the wire off the seat, using a .23mm drill bit poked the hole to see the depth of the hole, lightly resurfaced the external area with a mini file and ordered .15mm wire. Should I braze it or crimp it? Seems to me the brass tip was originally crimped as seen in the last photo. Suggestions please. Have already ordered a set of jet and needle but its just me who wants to get this part back into service.

Ron, I'd go for crimping. That's how they were done originally, as you've already noted.
Most cleaning needles I've seen actually used that method for fixing the wire itself to the holder.
