    Hello
Does anyone have any ideas as to what causes a lantern to pulse?
My 1200 pulses, not to badly but it is slightly annoying.
I gave other Optimus lanterns and they are fine.
    Any suggestions would be welcome

    Cheers. Trevor

Not enough heat, not enough pressure, not enough maintenance ;-)
Did you adjust the peddle in the mixing tube if there is one?

    Well deployed mantle ?
Right size mantle > heat ?

My guess would be a partly blocked preston loop or too much gap between the cleaning rod and the section of the vaporiser between the preston loop ends.

    Hi WimVe
Thanks for the info, but I reckon I have cured the problem in that I just changed the jet,why that should cause it to pulse is beyond me as the lantern is fairly new (well unused)
It certainly is not lack of maintenance as I like to keep them in tip top working order
There is no peddle to adjust so it couldn't have been that.
I checked the gap on the loop and that seemed ok
    Best regards.....Trevor

    Hi Nils
Cured the problem by changing the jet
Why that should cause it to pulse I don't know, but it is running good now
    Best regards. Trevor
