I have a question about the pumpleather, i have not used it for a while but i changed the pumpleather a couple months ago, the problem is now it seems its getting smaller and is loose in the pumping tube, unable to build pressure.

Any way to get it to swell so it fits again?

Dip it in something oil etc?

    Thanks!

Give the pump leather a good soak in oil, it will expand. I tend to oil my pump leathers every few weeks using neatsfoot oil. Failing that I have used 3 in 1 Oil on occasion.

Make sure it says 3 in 1. Some of todays lubricants eat seals. I ruined a perfectly good pump using "Master Blaster". No detriment to trade names here. Another very popular "penetrant" did the same. Not oil.Penetrant
