Has always been a conundrum as to what the original Handi glass was. Later Model glasses didn't quite fit properly as the bail handle wedged the glass in the frame and was subject to chipping the top of glass. .... or was it straight sided. Here is an original glass out of the early Handi's with the AGM Burner. Compared with the current version glass, original on right, you can see how it overcome the Bail Handle problem. They look the same size but the original doesn't have the problem Colin
I don't really follow what you mean. I don't remember any problems with Handi glass and the one I have with me here in Denmark (red enamell top and un-marked glass) has plenty of play. Maybe I don't know what a later model glass is.
On the AGM Burner Handi { I have 5 of them ] the later version Handi glass protrudes 2 mm past the holes of the vent. So when you insert the Bail and stand upright because of the bend in the bail it applies pressure to the the top of the glass. This either chips it or breaks it. I have put the original glass in all 5 with no problems. This occurs with branded " Handi " embossed glasses. Colin
Now I see. The Swift lite only has the handle clipping onto the hood. Not like the KeroPet which hooks into the burner (like Austramax, Coleman, etc) I only have 2 Swift lites, but both of them are back home in Oz. I don't remember noticing an issue with the handles though, but then again it's not a point I would have looked at closely. The original Swift lite handle is probably alright as it only has a very small section that clips to the hood. The KeroPet handle could be a problem.
