Recently acquired this Petromax model 821 (250cp). Was used as decor at the coast so the nickel is pretty much pitted. Internals are pretty good however.
It has the "feet" at the bottom of the frame rest/collar that fist into corresponding dents in the top of the fount. The Terry Marsh site only refers to the model 827 (1953-1954) as having this feature?
Anyone with more detail on this model?
Also having issues with air leaking past the seating area of the non-return valve. Lantern fires up but does not hold pressure. Any advice?

You have to Do the waterbucket test. That means removing the carrying frame, closing all the valves, building up some pressure and pressing the tank and carburettor under water.Wherever bubbles rise, the system is leaking. Surely you have to change the three rubber seals,11 manometer, 17 pumpe valve,193 carburettor valve.Probably also a new lead gasket 83 for the pump valve and a lead gasket 90 for the carburettor. Then do the water bucket test again.
I have only seen lanterns of this type from 1954-1956.
