I didn't use anything, I copied the dimensions from the original.
I guess you can use any heat resistant material. You may even consider making it one piece with the upper part.

 

I have one more question for you. I need an adapter to the 250 nozzle of the newer version. Do you have a tip for me. Thank you Michael
