    It was not secured to the tank and the valve was missing

    Is the end of the pump in the font?
    If not you will need a donor from another pump or you will need to make a new end for the pump.
    The closest usable thread for the NRV is M8x0.75.
    Primus NRV M8 thread ?

    There are several posts here about re soldering a pump.
