Pre heater

Where do I buy one? Do I really need one? could I make my own?

 

I've seen one self made pre heater, a piece of wire with a wick roll in the middle, bent to u-shape.

Just put it in meths and put the u-shaped burning wick around the vaporizer.

Light and pre heat until the meths is burned.

I have used figerglass yarn in my homemade preheting torches.
It works good enough. The fiber might get a bit burnt after some use, but it still works.
