Hi all, recently acquired a Radius 103 ex-Swedish Army. Came with a couple empty fuel bottles labeled ‘Spirit 35’ with the usual warnings. The warnings were easy to translate online, but I am coming up empty on Spirit 35. The 103 has a kero vaporizer and usually ‘spirit’ means gasoline/petrol (?) so … any ideas?

    Thanks

    Ulf.

Sorry, correction: says SPRIT, not SPIRIT.

The bottles would have been for alcohol. Presumably for preheating the lamp. I would not expect the lamp to be converted to alcohol.

Yep, those are the ones! Alcohol, I see now. Thank you very much. No, the lantern was not converted to alcohol — it’s a nice, quite kero burner. Solid item though it took some doing to fettle it!

Here you go, Colin. I even filled ‘em with alcohol for you!

    Best.
