I purchased this heavy, small single mantle lantern from an antique shop in Ohio recently. It came with an old Coleman globe which had been forced to fit, breaking the spot weld in the upper band of the cage. The valve knob was stripped and the shaft flats rounded. I bought a cabinet pull at a hardware store, drilled and tapped the shank and installed a set screw. It will work until I can source a replacement valve assembly and knob. For the globe I have ordered a straight globe which should work until I can find someone will to make me a mica replacement. For the generator I used a 220 generator with a #6 tip, hopefully that will work. I have not fired it yet. It is a work in progress. If anyone has a line on who could furnish a replacement valve assembly and/or manufacture a mica globe, please let me know!
