Is it just me, or does anyone else find fire/smoke detectors annoying when you're playing with your lamps? I'm just say'n... #pullthebatteryout

I don't seem to have any conflicts with my table tilley, the smoke detectors or the monoxide alarm don't seem to worry, the only person who complains is my Father in law, when he visits, as he say it gives him a tight chest. He spent most of his working life in the dusty environment of a paper mill

Smokealarms reacts in 2 different ways. 1. They can messure the invinsible ionized partikels in the air or 2. they can messure the contains of visible particels in the air optically.
Nr. 2 is most common here back home.
I had problems when starting up a pressurelamp indoor at the woodworkshop. The smokealarms talks together so the Whole house was ringing all the users of the house out to the street. I dont start pressurelamps anymore indoor up there
But when they are started up to operating temperature then we can bring them in and the detectors cant see them ;)

Mostly mine alarms when a lantern flares, sends up balls of flame, and generally fills the basement with acrid smoke. I just don't want my wife to find out. I just put the battery back in :)
