I know, I know it's not a pressure lamp.... However I thought I'd share anyway. I brought a bulk lot of Tilley's online That someone was selling. One 246 and two heaters. This old lamp was included in the buy. When I saw the picture of all the items, I brushed it off as a cheap Chinese rusty piece of crap or a common dietz or lanor lantern. Even when I picked the box of goodies up I didn't pay it much attention. It wasn't until I was going to donate it to the bin did I give the glass a bit of a rub and uncovered the grand old name Hasag. I was quietly surprised and a little pleased with the find. Not the type or style of lamp I would ever consider collecting but it's found its way into my hand so I guess that's where it will stay..... Unless of course it paves the way to something better.... I guess a bit of a fettle is in order. Model is 551 just like the pressure style of the same maker. Perhaps this is the parent version. I figure early 1930's ???
