    I could happily frame that whole picture (not just the wee one with the mountains) and hang it on my wall. Brilliant!

    I can see what you mean, Jean. To me, it seems to have a lot of the qualities of a Vermeer - the colours, atmosphere, use of light and shade etc.

    If the lanterns had been lighting the scene but not in the picture itself, then Joseph Wright of Derby:-

    Wow - even if you didn't know one end of a lamp to the other - what a great photo.

    @MrSys
    The TL106 is fitted with wrong vapouriser.
    Its the short 5inch. Should be the long 7 inch.
    Nice pic.

    Nice with Swiss Eugen Schatz Hasag....

    No, the short vapouriser is correct. Vapouriser 606 is in the spare parts list.

    Surely a matter of personal preference ?

    Some people prefer to have their lamps and lanterns configured as they were when they left the factory.

    I merely repeated what Tilley say:

    Thanks Henry. My Tilley table lamp then has the wrong, long , vapouriser.
    But i must say, with the 7inch version its taller and more appealing.

    As fireexit1 says, personal preference.
    Good to know the standard config.

    Long ago when I experimented slightly with these odd, foreign lamps, I was told that the TL10 used the longer vapouriser and that TL106 used the slightly shorter one (606).
    I think it was from Base-Camp that info came when I needed a vapouriser for a TL10.
