A little unrelated sorry, but whilst people are discussing sub forums, it would be useful to consider adding a “globes and shades” forum, under either the gallery or the library.

It’s possible to scroll through the lamps and lanterns to view them, but an area focusing only on the globes and shades would be an interesting and very useful addition.

Perhaps having it in the library would encourage people not to post duplicates.

Even a sub forum in that sub forum showing what shades are known to have been reproduced and how to tell the difference.
Darcys Guide to Coleman and Non-Coleman lamp Shades is very helpful.

    I agree @Anthony , it’s excellent!

And yes, it would be good to have a forum for reproductions.

There’s also lots of subtle differences across globes and shades that don’t get published in the books. The older shades seem to have size variations, and finish variations - there isn’t always just one defining feature of an “original”. It would be useful to build a record of them.
