I would prefer the Vapalux/Bialaddin/Primus type pump, NRV and separate filler cap with pressure release screw setup, just with a more easily maintainable NRV. The older Coleman type pump and NRV work really well except for the difficulty of NRV removal.
There are diesel heaters that are used in boats and trucks that inject diesel into an air stream and have a heat exchanger and hot air stream into the cabin, and an exhaust to the outside. Keeps truck drivers in overnight stops warm without having to run the engine. During the Double Cape yacht races there was nothing better than coming in drenched and freezing from a three hour shift at the tiller into a nice cozy cabin. Our Cape of Storms has that name for a reason.
