Tilley brass knob

This arrived in the post today, I knew it had the XN control cock, but I didn’t notice it had the brass knob. Does the brass knob make this pre 1934

 

No but it does increase the likelihood of the lamp coming from Australia. They were added to service kits sold in petrol stations.
The more industrial models often had them too in the UK.

 

Those brass knobs usually turn up on WW2., Tilleys which were made for the military.
