Can anyone tell me the the stated Burn times for Tilley lanterns, when filled to the correct level, I.E. 1.25 pints. I have looked at the various manuals etc. on the site, but have failed to find any stated times, I assume that any appliance that uses the 606/167 Vaporisers will burn fuel at the same rate whether it is a lamp or heater.

All other things being equal, probably.

The burn time will depend largely on the pressure in the tank as will the brightness. I'd say for a lantern, a tank of fuel will last an evening - maybe 6-7 hours at a guess...

The Brain cell is ticking in regard to the R1 heater.
The current price for Kerosene/Heating oil is 25p/ltr. Font holds 0.7l, equates to 17.5p a fill, R1 output is over 1Kw. 6 hour burning time. That is cheap heat for a small room or Glasshouse. How much heat does a Storm lamp give :-k

    Cheers for that.
Suspect that Donald Trump may have had a hand in that claim :^o I will light up my Guardsman tomorrow with 1.5 pints and see how near we get to that claim.

Really? I'd have thought it was more like £1.25 per litre! It's maybe cheaper in bulk for central heating but surely not just 25p/l...

David. Do a quick google on heating oil prices Needs 500l or more, but that is less than £130-00 inc VAT and Del. I was surprised.

Years ago a friend was paying 35p a litre and it crept up steadily to around 80p a litre to the extent it was becoming difficult to afford to heat the house.

Have the pre-pack prices at, say, B&Q come down to match the current low crude oil price? No, thought not...

As much as it seems a good thing, I fear it will end in tears across the board if it stays this low. Less than $30-00 a barrel for crude!

Bulk purchase prices are fine if you've got a tank, otherwise it's find a pump! Currently 62p per litre at my nearest. Stuff the pre-pack prices! Doubtless the shops bought when prices were high, now their sitting on the shelves collecting dust (I hope).

Last May Brent crude went to $69.
