Hi fellas, my KL80 needed a big bug screen for the bottom, not ever seen one for sale . So I made one. I didn't take pictures of drawing it up but till later.
I used 1mm brass plate. Roughly worked out the holes vent pattern drilled and filed and cleaned up.
I used a broken bug screen tube part from a Tilley. Silver soldered it in place , cleaned it up and it looks the part 66BE28D5-4E70-4070-92C0-3A4375B33204.jpeg 83F95492-7309-4989-9CD3-1A214F43C963.jpeg 4160E7D1-FF53-4611-8119-0C643B6F4B78.jpeg E5553CD0-4756-4CC5-9422-96B7F30D13F1.jpeg 22C6C0E6-7440-4939-937A-966E3141AF92.jpeg
