hey guys got my second tilley this one is red and dated 1972 but its leaking from where the knob meets the stop cock any advice would be brilliant.

oh and my first tilley is working beautifully i put a bullfinch mantle on it that i got from coopers in pickering the mantle was tied at the bottom but i turned it inside out and cut the tie then used the excess string for securing the mantle and threaded it through the bottom.

i am totally hooked lol and im getting a mannesmann lantern from my girlfriend for my birthday from what i gather its a rebranded anchor lantern, woohoo cant wait

Hi Jonty the washer that sits on the spindle inside the knurled collar has become hard and can not make a seal, you will need to replace it,you can purchase them and service packs from Spiritburner go to on here the trading post and then members services and you will see various items and services for sale on fettling lamps

Hi Jonty, both lamps lit... wow you have got a long way to go. One day you'll have so many that your thumb will be sore when you've finished lighting them all. Since I started collecting last November we haven't had a single power cut so I think you're simulated one might be a good idea  . Best regards Matt

I am currently running 7 storm lanterns, but I haven't had them all lit together. Yet!
