Tilley R501

Two questions boys:-
1. Can anyone supply the back view of an R501 showing the gear that attaches the tank to the stand?
2. Would it be safe to use an R22 radiator which has a couple of solder repairs?

the tank looks steel on those i saw in the gallery ; were the solder repairs to the underneath of the tank Jean?

looks similar to that used on the small handlamps like the al15

 

It seems that what I have is betwixt and between an R55 and an R501. It has the bracket but no stand sadly.

 

Hello Jean, perhaps you could just take the bracket for the stand off and restore the heater.

 

Could do Jeff but it’s in a bit of a mess. Missing guage and guard too.
