POR15 is an epoxy resin gas tank sealer. They do a range of products for dealing with corroded metal. Some folk think Caswells is better but I have never used it so I can't comment. Tricky stuff to work with becasuse it can seal fuel feeds and check valves. Not good to get into theads either because it sets like iron and can be really hard to clean off. Sticks to fingers pretty well too. I have used it on a lot of lamps and sealed quite a few that were "beyond repair". Needs to be used with caution though because it was never designed for pressure tanks and I am always happier to use it on kero lamps. A good pressure test is essential though before use and in general it is a last resort for preservation of the rare ones. A sound replacement tank will always be a better option. ::Neil::
