Tito Landi Double Burner Pressure Lamp

    Hello Together,

    Looking for an old Lamp and find an funny Blowlamp for a moderate Price. :D/
    Three Weaks waiting and looking the Tracking across France and Yesterday Santa leaves a Parcel for me. An very old Tito Landi Pressure Lamp was Inside.

    Somebody must have conservated it with Lot of sticky Fat, so the Parts easy loosing.

    Very massive Brass

    but the Nozzles are from Aluminium, a very new Material at this Time arround 1900 or older

    the Hole is very small, so I must see how to clean it up.

    The Bassin looks good, no Cracks and when sniping with the Finger there is an clear Kling-Kling. So I hope in the next Days with a little Fetling I`ll get it to work...

    That's an interesting unit you have there.

    Are you positive the 'nozzels' are aluminium?

    I must admit they do look like it but it seems an odd choice of material. Having said that, I'm not an engineer.

    those nozzles have been replaced, since the patent claimed for the use of aluminium is from january 1928 (FR663414A)
    and you need to add an aluminium gauze for the jet not to be clogged.

    Tito Landi lamps are not really pressure lamps, but incandescent lamps.
    This double burner is part of a great hanging lamp of the beginning of last century.
    here is a picture I have found on an Asian Website :
    Those lamps was sold with 1/2/3 mantle holders

    Peter,
    be very carefull, this lamp have a security valve in the filler cap with a spring which allows the pressure to go out in case of overpressure in the tank.
    You must fettle this filler cap before to light the lamp
    the patent exists in english if this is easyer for you to understand
