Hi. I'm new at fixing coleman lanterns. I have a 1979 model 222, and I need to change the valve assembly. How do you screw it on the fount? Do you use Loc-tite or teflon tape on the threads? Does it need to be tighten in a specific manner?
Is this a Col-Max or a Peak One? Coleman used the same number for two very different lanterns which is a bit confusing although I guess 1979 is a tad late for a Col-Max. I would use Teflon tape for the threads. Make sure you use the gas tape though not the thin stuff for water joints. ::Neil::
