All good once it got going, but it needed a longer pre-heat than I gave it. My bad. Silly smoke detector nearly gave me away! No matter, I'll clean the globe and hood, and no one will be any the wiser
I love my M1 & 21C but there are no doubts in my mind that the combination of 'smaller dish tray' (volume) and that its 'fixed' position is a little further away than say a M320 with its 'propped' spirit cup, do on occasion make it a little more difficult to light. Well perhaps 'difficult' is a little harsh but you certainly have to wait till the spirit has all but gone before attempting to light.
Looks really bright there, Al ! Might there be room to fit a preheat wick from a bowl fire? Should be able to get more fuel to it that way if it'll go? Unless it spoils the 'look' ? Just a thought, Regards, Tim
Important is it ended with a bright light. Just for interest, which year of production is marked? Matthias
