okay so this is weird I have that lantern in the last picture,not one like it but one with the same postcard with the same address on it,all I can think is its an old picture some one is using for illustration purposes,either that or a glitch in the matrix!
I was supposing it was linked to that thread, Trevor... Given that the box shown is for another Veritas lantern - the P9955 - overstamped for the Veritas 350, it seems reasonable to suppose the P9955 was the previous model to the 350 and they were simply using up the old boxes they had in stock at the factory. A fairly common trade practice and I've seen the same with Vapalux to Bialaddin in 1946...
