Bought this very troublesome Superb a while ago. Nearly gave up on it but, thanks to the advice from a fair number of posts, it now works and is quite stable ( although not necessarily elegant). I reduced the jet size by squeezing it a vice, reduced the size of the air vents in the hood by inserting a brass tube drilled with 3 small holes for each vent, used a large Coleman mantle no 1111 and filled the tank with an 80% paraffin/20% petrol mixture - thanks to all who contributed these suggestions! I also made the handle - hence the shiny one in the picture.
