I think this is a Model B (Made in England).
Nickel plated brass body.
No dented seamless repair.
I think it will work.

This is Veritas Model P9955A. The B version has a painted tank and a nickel plated hood and this is the A version which is a plated tank and a green enamel hood. They are a 300 cp kero lantern and not at all common so in that condition that is a very nice find. ::Neil::

300 cp means 300 candle power, a measure of light output intensity.
