    Help to define model and maker for this lamp.

    WIm, I strongly believe it was a 4 way GAS LAMP, i will post a post from a picture from 1919 in Buenos Aires. it was hanging in the street. and the glass was transparant.... i found a glass that fit but in white unfortunately....

    The lack of air ducts suggests that this is still an electric lamp

    @didier, I agree with you that it looks like a gaslamp. But ga lights need air, a lot of it. Foer gas lights needs even more air.
    So where doe sthat come from ? There is only (?) a small open rim on the top.
    Gasligts, 4, also produce heat, again plenty of it. Where should it go?

    Gas lights, in aparearance where often converted or reproduced for electric light. Simply because the gas light wher ealready available a most of the time an electric cord and bulb was fitted in easy.

    yes, you are right. but the glass is not original. it should have an open glass and yes, probably converted into an electric lamp
