    Jean, you’ve led a sheltered life... he was a British composer from the late 1960s who was a completely made character for a Monty Python sketch.

    I hated Monty Python and don’t think even my sons watched it. Sorry!

    It wasn’t to everyone’s taste, that’s for sure. I have to admit that I enjoyed their ability to bring the pomposity of the ruling classes and the establishment down to size. Growing up in the industrial north, government was, and still is, very out of touch. I wonder what they would make of today’s rulers and society?
