Some time ago someone posted a detailed diagram with measurements for the construction of the wire cage to hold the lampshade (Tilley part 621) for a Tilley 136 Table Lamp. Can anyone supply the link please? Many thanks
Not specifically for a 136, but atleast the shade No.621 with cage and dimensions is in Perhaps it's something like that you were thinking about?
Thanks Christer, It's not that article but a similar one. It had a labelled diagram with measurements. However I can use the one you refer to of course if needs be. Thanks Tony and (belatedly) welcome home, I have decided to make it just using brass wire and braising the joints with a sleeve on the bottom hoop.. Can't justify the cost plus shipping for that one (I checked it out some time ago). Just need to work out how to fix the top hoop to the shade when it arrives. It cannot be threaded through like the bottom one because of the struts and also there will be no joint of course.
